Tarong West Wind Farm final Public Environment Report for viewing

Tarong West Project Co Pty Ltd (the Proponent) proposes to construct, operate and decommission the Tarong West Wind Farm (the Project). This will involve up to 97 wind turbine generators and associated ancillary infrastructure The Tarong West Wind Farm is in the Wide Bay Burnett region of Queensland, approximately 25 kilometres (km) west of Kingaroy, 85 km east of Chinchilla and 170 km northwest of Brisbane.

The Project (EPBC 2023/09643) was determined a controlled actionunder the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the Act), with assessment by Public Environment Report.

The controlling provisions are:

• Sections 18 and 18A: Listed threatened species and communities

• Sections 20 and 20A: Listed migratory species
