March 2024 Update
RES is establishing a Community Consultative Committee (CCC) who will be involved with the project team in decision making processes throughout project development and construction.
February 2024 Update
RES has submitted the Development Application for the Tarong West Wind Farm to the Queensland State Government Assessment and Referral Agency (SARA). As part of the assessment process this will be made available for public review.
November 2023 Update
Following ongoing consultation with the community throughout 2023, RES hosted information sessions in November to provide detailed information about project design and to provide further information regarding potential impacts throughout the construction and operation phases of the Project.
July 2023 Update
In early July, community drop in sessions were held at Ironpot and Kumbia Halls to showcase the revised design of the Tarong West Wind Farm.
April 2023 Update
Following advanced technical and environmental surveys, RES will be hosting two information sessions in April to showcase the final proposed design of the Tarong West Wind Farm.
October 2022 Update
Following initial information sessions held in May 2022, RES held several community information sessions in October to update the community on design changes and assessment outcomes, and to seek further feedback about the proposed project.
June 2022 Update
In May, the Iron Leaf Wind Farm project team ran several informal drop-in sessions in the area to receive local feedback, provide updated information and understand any early concerns about the proposed project.
April 2022 Update
RES is planning several community information sessions for the first half of 2022 to introduce the Project, understand community concerns or issues and explore opportunities to provide immediate and long-term local benefit.
