RES and Wakka Wakka People formalise Cultural Heritage Management Plan and Relationship Agreement on Tarong West Wind Farm
RES has proudly formalised the Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) and Relationship Agreement with the Wakka Wakka Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (WWNTAC) for the Tarong West Wind Farm project near Kingaroy in QLD Australia.
This milestone reflects over six years of genuine partnership with the WWNTAC and marks a significant step in RES’ long-standing commitment to respectful and collaborative engagement with First Nations communities.
The CHMP details the protocols for the protection and management of cultural heritage across the Tarong West Project Area for the part of the Project located on Wakka Wakka Country, ensuring that development activities are conducted in a manner that honours and preserves Wakka Wakka cultural values.
Separately, through our Relationship Agreement, we’re committed to ongoing benefit sharing, collaboration, employment, cultural preservation and capacity building.
Thank you to the Wakka Wakka people for your continued guidance and partnership. Together, we’re shaping a clean energy future for Queensland built on respect and shared opportunity.
